Those Aldi pry-bars come in very handy, don't they?New addition to the garage, suppose I could call it a happy birthday present to myself!

A 50’s (I estimate) Woodhouse and Mitchell junior with the 6” bed, optional cabinet base and L0 long nose chuck mount. Happy is an understatement considering the price, despite the patina it’s in very good mechanical condition and as a bonus had a large single phase motor installed some years ago. Makes the lights dim in the garage
To call moving it into position “difficult” is the understatement of the year. Weighing in at a literal ton it was more difficult than I’d envisaged but it placed so as long as we don’t move house any time soon it should be fine! Just need to get some metric change wheels which I’ll likely make and a 12” faceplate to complete it
Glad to see I'm not the only one to use a car trailer for lathe moves - mine doesn't have an infill panels, so you can jack a lathe up, roll the trailer under it as far as possible, jack the lathe up again in-between trailer cross-members, roll the trailer back under it a bit more, until its fully on.
It was easier getting it off with a fork-lift and some decent straps though
