Well it just goes to show one size does not fit all, I love Vue Scan and could never get on with Epson Scan or Silver Fast. Last week I scanned two rolls of 6x9 (2 1/4 x 3 1/4 in old money) negatives shot in the late 50's, using an Epson V700 scanning was easy, retouching all the scratches is taking ages.

A few years ago I treated myself to a Bronica, full kit from a retired chap

Loved the camera and I paid for Vue scan and it honestly put me off medium format until I could get it working with epson scan. As you say, one size does not fit all

I've spent many an hour arguing with epson scan and windows 10. My scanner also does large negatives and it also works with my brand new laptop. I found a version of epson scan that works with windows 10 and I've just kept it, I refuse to pay for vue scan because if you are a serious user it's actually rubbish and epson scan has better frame detect on 35mm and medium format

One of these days when I have nothing better to do (joke) I might have a play and try to get my Perfection 2450 working on my Win 10 laptop - it'll scan negs, prints and transparencies up to 10 X 8 if needed. I used to scan slides shot on my SQ-am and the results were outstanding.

All a memory now as I had to get rid of all my equipment due to a house move meaning no space, I traded the lot with Ffordes at Beauly (a decent crowd to deal with) for a decent Nikon outfit which doesn't see much use now, as I tend to snap things with my phone

35mm film is the equivalent of about 87 megapixels.
A full frame camera can reach over 800 megapixel. In fact the digital scanning is the limit not the film.
I wish I had never sold my medium format stuff.

Years ago I started selling off my SQ kit but made the mistake of running a couple of test films, I have still got most of it from 45mm through to 150mm not that any of it has been used since. Ho Hum.

It is my mum standing and from left to right seated my Gran on my dad's side, my Uncle Bill, my Gran on my Mum's side (Also Bill's Mum)and my Grandad on my Mum's side. Photo would have been taken by my Dad a year or so before Mum and Dad were married, I have never seen this image as it was just a negative in this packet there were seven prints but sixteen negatives all cut into individual frames.

He is mate, he was a furnace stocker at Capper Pass in Brough before they became RTZ and would always dress up smart for holidays and high days. A great man without whom I would not have done many things.

Had a good clear out (hence the free welder post), stacked my plumbing gear as I'm not getting rid of it and sorted my mechanicing tools out

Few jobs built up on the L200 so can crack on now I've access to tools

Yeah, when I say jobs I mean add central locking to the canopy and take the side steps off for painting

Another HP printer similar to the one from work, £8 and a trip to Bushey off EBay. Different fault code that seems to be non OE cartridge related after swapping parts about. Fingers crossed when the cartridges turn up it all works.

Well I acquired these last week but only got home late last night so now today is their first day home.

5c imperial collet set
5c chuck
Pratt 4 jaw chuck
The one back plate and a drive plate which I’ll adapt to use for my 5c chuck but keep it able to use as a dog drive.
New 25t gear for my lathe
Colchester gap peice I’m missing.
Just finally a vice which will be good for the pillar drill or something.
