I must confess that a 1/6 of a bottle of Bushmill's 30 yr old single malt Irish Whiskey does me far more good than a lot of special prescribed anti inflammatory medication ( have to take anti clotting meds ) so things are very limited when spinal pain wrecks me.
I've tried most styles of scotch whisky but they irritate my guts & burn my gullet for several days at a time .

The 4 gold things in the last pic are resistors to put out the bulb warning light in a car when you swap a bulb for an led one

In the days of 1980 & Selmar car alarms that had a swinging pendulum sensor and earth switches on the bonnet & boot lid, I had to use several 50 ohm wire wound resistors like that at the switch & make a new earthing point, without them the alarm would not trigger otherwise . It wasn't very good .
The car got broken into whilst we were sightseeing for 1.5 hrs in Rouen , all our camping gear & personal stuff out of sight in the boot was stolen .. We were parked right next door to a busy pavement front restaurant, yet no one heard or saw a thing. despite it putting on all lights , flashing them on & off and sounding off a twin air horns for 15 seconds . All door locks & the boot lock had been " T " barred open, yet the alarms keyed switch was untouched .

This 1966 Union Graduate lathe. I got it home with a friend in a people carrier, dismantled of course. It’s heavy but quite easy to manhandle, the column being the only bit that needs two people. It came with of chisels, four face plates including a big one (think it’s a 16”) all the tool rests and some homemade jobbies, the proper cast cover for the spindle, the lovolite and support, and a four jaw chuck. Oh, and they gave me a box of morse taper spurs, centres and a drill chuck, a huge 1.5” 2mt drill bit, and a box of wood turning books. I’m over the moon. I’ll put better pics up at the weekend.
