Are there limit switches ?
I am going to order a proper rebuild kit with precision sealed bearings from H&W machine repairs in the states who specialise in Bridgeport’s
I am going to get the top end rebuild kit from them as well as it all works out cheaper than “sorted-uk.com” even after import duty etc
I took some of the parts into work today to clean them up but by bit
Top end casings that are all alloy I just went over on the polisher with a satin mop and also the painted cast section which will need repaint, I did t bare metal it as I’m going to just paint over with a decent enamel as there is filler on everything
Also after clearing the sump of coolant gunk and swarf I removed the coolant pump and took it into work as well to clean and test and it also works perfectly so it seems although this machine sat in the rain uncovered for 6 months it was quite well looked after
A few pics, including the as new brake shoes
I have just rescanned the wiring page and merged it. There was a very slight section missing but really it didn't make much difference as the wires don't go any further than is shown in the previous posted PDF It does however look cleaner when viewed as a single page.
They are, I just merged both to make 1Ah, that makes sense, I thought they were two seperate pages.
Here’s a few pics of the 1 shot oiler that worked fine just the supply tubes were blocked in places but it’s all still there and intact
It wasn't often the manual ones were chromed but as far as I know all the CNC ones were. Bit of a waste of time in my opinion as the saddle still got worn. Often when you looked at the flaking you thought the ways were great condition but then realised that the mating surface was not so greatIm not sure if the knee ways are chromed for certain but I don’t think so?
As for the oil metering units, yes I have read that Bridgeport used a mixture of #0 & #1 sizes for different areas it seems
