The line from the side block to the saddle manifold was measured and fitted while the saddle was in the centre of the knee and wasn’t long enough when you moved the saddle out so had to remake that one quickly lol
Original were all plastic apart from the one copper one that goes inside the knee and either oils the gear or the leadscrew I’m not sure which it’s meant to feed yet
I am further along with the rebuild but have a head noise issue and am after some help and opinions solving it so have done a YouTube video to show the issue if anyone can help
The keyway may be the culprit and I think that for a couple of quid I will open it up again and buy a new one online somewhere just to eliminate it from the equation
There was some confusion over which side of the bull gear faces up and where the wavey spring washer goes in the bull gear bearing sleeve due to the rebuild manual being wrong
Here’s the videos
Here’s the mill running after the issues were sorted
Happy with that now
Next up I’ve started on the powerfeeds but to me the motor noisy? Is this normal
My step down transformer is feeding 123v too the motor not 110v could this be the issue as it’s a 90v motor?
Also where I mention the clutch/ dog teeth trying disengage I think this could be solved by a larger dia roller on the pivot armto push the clutch dogs over that little bit more. You can the the roller on the lever pivot arm in this pic and the gap that there is to the left, where the roller bolts is slotted but it’s already adjusted fully left and can’t go any further
