Before the invention of the atom bomb, the largest man-made explosion was believed to have been that created after a collision between 2 ships in Halifax (Nova Scotia, not West Yorks. ) in 1917.
The munitions ship's 90mm deck gun was found 3.5 miles away with its barrel melted, and the shank of the anchor landed 2 miles away.
Granted that was a surface explosion rather than seabed but you can get some idea of the potential damage...
