It's to draw the stripped copper away and stop it slashing your wrists / face, doesn't do a very good job in my experience!what is the little hook thingy for ? im just wondering if i can repurpose it for anything

No, didn't know that but will have a search, not that I plan on doing any more@Hood don't know if you know this but there's a chart on the net somewhere that tells you what metric pots, seals & glands fit the old imperial stuff, I had to do a lot in a school once, spent 4 weeks re routing supplies
