Depends on what you want from a lathe. Myford’s are great and very popular but if you want to start getting into longer than 400mm and taking some heavy cuts then a Myford isn’t the tool for you. They are often very pricey too. If you want something to work with in a Myford’s capability then yeah it will be a wonderful thing. Spares are always available and they fit into sensible compact spaces. You can pick them up in the boot of a hatch back with the seats down too.
i would rather get spmething that I will not outgrow in no time at all than have to sell it and find another at a later date.

They do...at times. Then modifications are needed so apart they come again. Empire is nearly done...that will turn parts...One of them might even turn a part one day
