I've tried that with those sort of castors, it might not have been as heavy duty though, and it didn't work amazingly. When looking at it you could see that the 2 "plates" with the bearings between were not parallel to each other. Tried various arrangements in the press with sockets and different blocks but couldn't get it just right.

Like the build though, nice bench.

It's either that or get some button head bolts, ole take it off for a better investigate.

Thinking about it, as the plates were at an angle, so the middle hollow wasn't flat I think some of the trouble I had was getting something to press it without the whole castor slipping over. But it was quite a while ago so my memory isn't 100%, I just remember it being a bit of a pain. You might find if you whip it off there's something obvious. Saves you changing bolts.

I couldn't say accurately as I got steel for other jobs as well and I only got the price for the whole order.

Nah it was easy the bare frame is only about 220kg, myself and a friend managed it with ease.

Got the castor fixed, quick squash in the press seemed to do the trick but time will tell.
