The frame is now going to be 80x80x6 , with 1mm on top. Sounds like adjustable feet to take the weight off the castors will be handy.

aww thought you was going to use 10mm.

decided now to go to 12mm..

im still on the hunt for a lump for my unfinnished bench lol.

2nd hand bits are hard to come by.

But off to work now so play time's over for today. Starting to be able to move again in the workshop.

The mig currently has 1mm wire on but I have quite a lot of 1.2mm to use, would 1.2mm be ok for the 6mm box?

I can only dream. That's a real nice bit of kit. Did it cut perfect straight from the word go? I need some sort of excuse to even think about splashing out on one..

To be honest I can't remember, I think it was about £250.

Today got the existing bench cleaned off ready to go.

Peeped a cupola of off cuts ready for a weld test with the 1.2 wire:

Went to set the welder up and couldnt find the 1.2 drive roller , no matter how match planning you put in to something in never goes to plan. I've ordered a new roller so I've find the missing one when it arrives.

I've got a shed load of steel to buy for my double doors and I'm thinking of picking up a 10mm plate 2000x1000.

I've done some searching on line and it seems I can pick up a piece of hot rolled 10x2000x1000 for around £130ish.

I'm not sure exactly how much each item cost as my local supplier just gives me a price for the whole order.
