It’s hard to say though I wouldn’t think a decent cordless would bother it.What sensible maximum hole size could I expect from this Vevor before it starts to bend/rattle about? The base would be solidly bolted to about 60kg of bench.
I cant be bothered with air so spindle would be cordless powered.
Well in that case I think Im going to buy or make one! Should work as a light duty drill press if I make up a sliding, cordless powered spindle to go on the end?
I have very little space but this looks like it would suit being attached on the welding bench.
Wrap some foam insulation around it, helps a lot.Note the exhaust frooze my hand in this weather!
I used to put hose on to direct exhaust back in direction of supply pipe . Helped with noise tooWrap some foam insulation around it, helps a lot.
Yep kuroda are the same head without loonies bidding them up because some youtuber likes wohlhaupter
My kuroda stuff is Japanese
Not brands they’re manufacturersJust had a look on eBay both of these brands seem to go for big money ...
Gave my Wohlhaupter boring and facing head away many years ago, hardly ever used it and I knew the the guy I gave it to would.Got on a bit more with this this afternoon, needed the big Boring Head for the first part:

Eaqual to or better than a Wohlhaupter in my opinion. Bought it in "as new" condition as the guy wanted the "real thing"? Can't work some people out.
Then a hole drilled and we needed the Ikkle boring bar to make a bearing housing to create a pivot I bored a 16mm hole first and amazingly my care in setting it all up paid off as the hole came out the bottom at the same place as it started off at the top, amazing.

Then the boring bar:

I haven't created the bearing pocket yet as tea called and I don't want to queer my pitch right now. Mostly because I don't want to fix fence panels!
I’ve got two 50int heads, a koruda and a wohlhaupter plus a few others.Gave my Wohlhaupter boring and facing head away many years ago, hardly ever used it and I knew the the guy I gave it to would.
Also gave away my smaller one and I am kicking myself about that every so often I need very precise holes bored, and I have just got a small job in that I could do with it
Microbore must of been light years ahead back in the 60sI’ve got two 50int heads, a koruda and a wohlhaupter plus a few others.
They live in the cupboard permanently. I prefer micobore inserts tbh
