The truth about this will slowly come out. My OH vapes and its the same old story "it doesn't do any harm" but if I get into her car there is so much greasy oily carp on the windscreen I cannot see properly. Its like it has smeared with Vaseline, and it very difficult to remove except with thinners. This shows what vapers are getting in their lungs, and It is certainly not, "not doing any harm" But like all addicts, they will not have it.

Just the same as SWMBOs Jimny. Really annoys me when she gets in my vehicles and does it too. I am concerned for her health, but it falls on deaf ears. Always the same until its too late.

I'd been smoking for the best part of 40 years until one mornings "smokers cough" in Feb 2015 gave me a collapsed lung, a follow up appointment told me I had COPD so I switched to vaping, I know it's still not good, but decided it's the better of 2 evils as at least I'm not coating my lungs with tar. I do make sure I buy the vape liquid from reputable sources and am not interested in producing massive clouds of cherry flavoured "smoke" just a plain old nicotine "hit".

Also an ex-smoker with copd amongst other things. Putting oil vapour into your lungs is as bad as smoking, I went on the nicotine gum to give up and have stopped using that ,now just normal gum, I'll echo Smallfrys comment, give it up.

OH gets so upset about this sort of thing. Watched her mum die over two years from cancer caused from secondary smoking from weekly visits to the Irish Club.

She'd see patients on that ward come outside to speed up their suicide, and the one she really couldn't understand, the nurses etc coming out with them to do the same, despite daily evidence of where they were heading.

Nothing going in your lungs other than air cannot be good - and that especially includes welding fume and grinding particles.

As is often said on anything to do with H&S - use some common sense.

Yes, I know it's your choice - to enrich even further the tobacco and vape companies execs.

Yes, but the difference with vaping is that you KNOW the risks, and will be no one elses fault but your own.

Buy most vapers genuinely seem to believe that it is risk free

any krap in your lungs is bad if you were forced to be in rooms where folk smoked at work the hse and unions would be down on you like a ton of sh.it . i smoked 60 a day for donkeys years and gave up 25 yeas ago best thing i ever did , any one in denial is just kidding themselves

What I don't understand is people who have never smoked vaping! And the regularity of their vaping, you couldn't smoke as often as they vape

Most of my mates sniffed Evo-Stick out of Co-op carrier bags. Somehow I managed to refrain.

Started as an apprentice spraying cars with a Martindale cotton gauze mask then many years in offices where they all smoked including the women, both parents who smoked, pubs etc. No wonder my lung function is down.

I've noted with a lot of vapers that it's just bloody weird how they smoke them. It's..., peculiar. Being a smoker, first cigs, now pipe, even I observe some of them & wonder what's the point of them doing it.

Kids I can understand,but 30 year olds.
