think about this for a minute. a60 front plates are over $10 each. if your using the mask daily and changing that plate once a week , in 9 months youll have spent more money on plates than what the mask cost new. theres nothing brilliant about that

Tha Parweld is very good .
Thet do 2 versions one has a lift up front .
The front shield us only £2.50
Inner one is,coppers
The R Tech is also a very nice helmet .
I use a,Optrel for TIG . Not a budget helmet but very nice

If you can get a looked-after speedglas used in good nick id look at that as an option to, i've had a 9100 speedglas for 20 years. seen a lot of 8-12 hour shifts week in week out and still going.
I didn't fair so well with the xxi version though. I got an a60 last week which is a lot of mask for the price but doubt it would hold up to the abuse of the 9100, and just ordered a paramaxx 2.0

Try being a bit less school master and more a mate you will be liked more and listened to as well
I run an Optrel for tig not had to change front visor in 3 years, but don't throw it about and clean as well, tried an Esab truecolojt the other day very nice.
Have a50£ unit i leave in van it is 6/7 years old and still works for the rough jobs

Looking to upgrade my mask shortly.

I've had god knows how many cheap Chinese ebay specials, then a few cheap sealey and currently a SIP from screwfix that claims to be true colour and as much as it is much clearer to look through and no annoying green tint, it's not as true colour as it could be and welding today it just seemed darker than it usually is, even set to shade 9 it was a struggle to see anything except the arc, usually it is really clear so I assume its on its way out.

So im looking for something with a bit better quality, but still not stupidly expensive like a pro mask.

Don't care about grinding mode, never used it on the masks ive had that have it, must be adjustable shade auto dark and I'd prefer a wide viewing area.

Any suggestions? Up to say £80?

If you don't mind sending a courier to collect like dpd etc I can box this up and let you have it free.
