Hate the things personally never seem too have come across one that will actually do its job. 99% of the time i have found it quicker just too clean the thing by hand, having said that i am mainly using them on heavy fuel and lube oil purifier parts and the ones i use you could probably fit a car engine block in comfortably. Even with neat extremely toxic chemicals and the heaters on full whack they dont seem too do very much. For cleaning out small galleries etc find the best way is very thin soft wire like locking wire or thin soild copper wire depending on material im cleaning, then squirt a liberal amout of contact/break cleaner through, then flush with water at high pressure then a blast of air. Becareful with small passages though wire can break off inside then you spend a bit off time friggin around trying too get it out, i usually change pieces every two or three passages to help ensure this isnt a problem for me, if its just a through and through hole i dont bother. For larger items i dont want damaged brass wire brush and diesel or kero. Also little bits of copper pipe with one end bashed flat make good non maring scrappers.
