Ok thanks for the infoHey, Mechman
Ill do my best....
2000 Dodge Dakota, 3.9 litre (3900cc) roughly 145bhp, 17-24mpg, (29km/g or 7.7kpl) seats 6. The bed, due to the 4 doors is the shortest at 5.5 ft closed, 6ft open tailgate.
My SLT came with power windows, cruise control, am/fm cassette, (yes, cassette), power mirrors, A/C, and a few other bits and pieces. its a 2 tone paint job, which I like better than the single colors. its got a tow package in the wiring that I added eons ago, a trailer hitch and a cap for the bed.....and thats about it.....
Now, it has new rockers (1 of 2 anyway!)

Mechman, remember US Gallons are 6 UK pints so MPG is not relevant to the UKOk thanks for the info
Mate came around to show me his new US Ford pick-up (V8 petrol) and took me for a run around. The dash display showed 9 mpg Needless to say he had it converted to LPG.Mechman, remember US Gallons are 6 UK pints so MPG is not relevant to the UK
Yes US Pint =16 FLZs, Imperial Pint = 20FLZs iirc (that's not often)Mechman, remember US Gallons are 6 UK pints so MPG is not relevant to the UK
Looking very good....and brings back some memories too
When I did mine I tacked and welded the top butt joint first. I actually started with a tack in the middle, let it cool...then repeat moving outwards! Definitely don't want too much heat getting into the repair section as it may expand and distort...lots of tea was consumed in between tacks!
not reread all the other posts so not sure if you did disconnect the battery
did you disconnect the battery and connect the battery cables together you can get feedback from welding some use a surge protector others connect the cable together
