Transwave phase convertor

Here's one that I took out a Transwave box that I scrapped after an abortive (not by me) repair:

The auto transformer in the box appeared to be cooked, but most of the other components looked OK. So this isn't tested, but is yours for the price of the postage. If it is what you need, PM me your address and I'll send it off -might be a couple of days before I can get along to a Post Office though.

These are voltage sensing relays used to switch off the boost capacitors on motor start - can be replaced with a simple 'push to boost' button like my old boost energy 15kw rotary converter

Thank you @HughF that is a very kind offer, abd will PM directly, firstly an update for all those who have kindly posted here to help me. I rang Broyce this morning and a very friendly lady gave me the Telephone number for the local stockist who turned out to Power Capacitors who actually make
the Transwave range, she also said that if they couldnt help then I had to ring her back and she would help me.

Power Capacitors were very helpful and tomorrow I will have a brand new identical relay for the princely sum of £36.50 + £7.50 for delivery in less than 24 hours, now thats service to a second hand buyer !!! Also got to speak to Pete for some time, could even be the owner/designer and had producing these for 35 years!! and was a wealth of knowledge advising I could ring him any time for help or advise, every single part is available off the shelf and he did say when it was first produced this relay was the one product he expected to fail first in any of his units.

A refreshing experience from a great English company still manufacturing in England, Thank you

They make a good product, solid and simple. I prefer the older ones from boost energy because they are easier starting (the new ones are terrible), but I had a transwave static for a while and it was well built.

This one I have here @HughF was manufactured 11/2000, so at 16 years old its nearly in the middle of the production life span, so I guess I have one of the type you suggest, its a static 4 kw/5.5 hp ?

Mine was a weird 3 motor design with 3 separate sets of boost and run caps. Designed for running 3 separate pumps. I only used 1 of the outputs.

My 'new' one is a 15kw rotary with star-delta starting of the idler, probably from the early 90's, a simpler design than the transwave with no voltage potential relays to go bad.

Result! That was always the easier option than finding something else and rewiring, and cheaper too!

Did you ever go to the Boost workshop on a farm in the back of beyond somewhere in Kent from memory.
We also got our first converter from there, i still prefer the push button on the front to start manually.

I would have preferred proper 3 phase but with the cheapest quote @ £10,000 and the cable under the road only 5 m from the workshop, really no choice :-0

I didn't, no. My 15kw boost came as a pile of bits from a bloke up the road, it had been cut out of the woodworking shop where it was installed and has a separate transformer/cap box, separate star/delta starter and a separate idler. All linked together with about 6ft of 6mm2 cable in conduit. Makes sighting it around the shop easy though.

It needed wiring up and a new set of run caps as the old ones were all blown. Runs my 300a tig inverter and my Harrison mill

Do you have the full Horizontal fixtures too ?

I have the full horizontal and vertical setup with all the full set of arbours but cannot find out anything on the slotting head listed in the original manual, also have the clutch, dual table feed and suds would be great to see what the actual slotting head look like !!!

I'm missing all the change wheels for the table feed so only have 1 feed speed... everything else is there though. Probably do a vfd conversion on it next so I can run it off my single phase supply.
