I really dislike pozi drives....actually that's not accurate...I dislike that there are two very similar looking drives and one with nicely round out the screws of the other!

Surely the world should have stuck with standard star point or switched to pozi and be done!

Back 2017 purchased several thousand square drive screws gave a load to the local men's shed group as the old fellas didn't have good enough eyesight & working heads to realise that there are in fact three cross point drive tops , They had a habit of putting electric screw drivers & drills into hammer mode and as a result were killing a dozen or more tips a week .

Square drive are brilliant for wood working as you can screw upwards one handed as the tips are magnetic plus the shafts are hexagonal so you can use a drill or slip a ratchet handle over them , I've also come across engineering screws and bolts with square drive heads whilst with FIL in Canada .

Bought as a test sample...just fed up with nasty grips...I would usually say cheap and nasty but some I've bought weren't actually cheap!

So far I'm happy...the black bits will need some oil to prevent rust but they feel nicely made and the thread bit is actually joined so works properly!

Brand is Beta (1052-240)...I'll buy a few more I think...wanted to test one out.

My Facom grips died a few months after I purchased them , True to their life time warantee they replaced them off the shelf , same with their tin sheet drill chuck nibbler . That was forty years ago they still get used very often

Not ordered as such, but got a suprise fedex email to say my second free Makita XGT 4Ah battery was being shipped

Due to being a lithium tool battery? The previous one was shipped in a properly marked and well packaged box.

eBay has closed me down.. reckons strange activity has taken place in my account .. Still have a few paid for man cupboard bits in the system . Now I'll have to spend hours trying to get it resolved as there is a complete block on my home address internet ID code any emails or stuff they can find.

In an attempt to better organise my garage, bit the bullet and ordered some Euro boxes

The size I wanted all seemed to be around £12 per box plus delivery.

Then found Solent Plastics selling new boxes made from recycled plastic for £6 each

We changed to this sort of box several years ago it's so much better. Ours are half height with solid base and vented sides.
Bloke turned up at Newark Autojumble with a 7.5 tonne lorry full of new boxes he sold the lot. I was Surprised how many we fitted in the motor home, I now still buy the odd one when I see them

SHMBO decided to go weeding by the bee hives, put workshop keys in pocket of very baggy spare bee suit, loses keys with my site safe keys attached, only one set of keys for safe (yes i know) only 2 options, plasma cutter, new locks & weld back together OR

Maybe better to be prepared just in case

You’re not planning on visiting any schools are you as I don’t know the telephone number for your local police station

No not really but I do need them to restart playing airsoft, I personally don't like the idea of using rental protections used by every other possible imaginable human being.
Just imagine to wear an used sweated face mask spitted coughed, possibly with blood stains ect ect
Obviously not your own liquids.
The gloves are actually required I already got a BB stuck in my index finger and it's not something I'd like to experience again.

It gets OK reviews, and if it finds the keys it will do.
then SHMBO can go and paddle in the stream with it and go mud larking with her mate.

Anyone who served will remember the smell of their body armour worn by many people before. No amount of washing and disinfecting could diminish that unique odour

Ah yes, the unmistakable smell of a well used flak jacket! 3 years on the Sarajevo airlift leaves it ingrained in one's psyche

Not fancying a dose of scabies or worse I dumped my heaving newly re-issued greasy collared flak jacket in baby bio for four hours , whilst I slept in my early morning off duty time . Woke up a few min before the next patrol . in the shower with it a nail brush and me , out on patrol sopping wet but not stinking like a dosshouse urinal and almost fully dry , as a lot of the my patrolling was done stood on the tailboard of a Land Rover for 4 hrs. at a time doing town & country patrolling .
