I just acquired 2 more henrys today too but the cords have been chopped off I will half and old extension lead and fill them both back up. I should really sell them I don't need 8 vacumes

With the impending change of job at the end of this month, my collections days are rapidly coming to an end, I'm not sure how I'm going to cope with withdrawal symptoms

It's always a shame when a proper surface plate gets used as welding table but once it's past it's useable condition I suppose it's the next best thing.

At least it will get used for something close to its intended purpose, the person i got it from had bought it for use as a shabby chic coffee table.....

Lidl's have just opened a new store in Gloucester, one of the opening offers, a 23/4 hp compressor for £49.99. This will replace my 20 year old 11/2 hp one which is not really big enough, but has done me well, used, abused & the pressure screwed right up.

These compressors were reduced from £79.99, at which I thought they were good value as I paid about £110 for the other one 20 years ago, 50 quid was too good to miss, 3 year guarantee as well.

Got these from work for the princely sum of naff all.

They'll come in handy for tool storage and keeping the flammables and nasties safely locked up.

I ambled along to a local auction house today with a friend. It is next to a Farmers outlet. My plan was to have a decent breakfast. To much "Random falling over juice last night", he sorted out feed etc.

These items were not in the auction, but in their skip. I asked if I could take them away and was allowed to. according to the man I spoke to, they were dumped, with a note saying for you to sell. No name etc. They kept them for 6 mounths, no one came back, so they were dumped.



Good old fashion 240v work lamp.
10 feet of decent rubber 3 core cable.
But no plug. No worries.



Another Black & Decker drill. This one I plan to keep, sentimental reasons, my dad had one.
Cable is decent, no key and no plug.

Still No worries.



My friend who owns and runs a decent second hand shop put this aside for me, they make decent small stowage box's. She said there is a few small Birthday presents inside as I gave her a £10 beer token.

Early on in this post I said there were no worries about missing plugs.

My mates got an Aldi one, & yes that's noisy, the Lidl one doesn't seem too bad. It's marked 97db on the side though

Today I acquired ....next winters fire wood ...a friend of mine who lives in Athens rang me the other day and ask if I could pick up some fire wood , his father has some olive trees near here and he has had someone prune them , the guy had pruned the trees and burnt all the brash but there was a bit of fire wood left on the ground that needed picking up...his dad is a good friend of mine so I says sure where does he want the wood dropped off ... Oh no says Antonis you can have the wood ,my Dad just wants it cleared up ....
So I went down yesterday in the pickup with the saw... and had a look ....I got two big loads out yesterday and a half load today after lunch ...Result ..very pleased .....I never even fired up the saw .....
