Plus the land lord is leaving themselves open to serious fines etc. if the local authorities do a safety check on rentals .
Where my daughter used to live they called out the fire brigade 8 times because of the alarm going off at all hours . In the end the fire brigade passed their " We will no longer attend false alarms at the premises paperwork onto the council . The stupid thing was the place was a 26 place dwelling unit , no one else reported the alarm going off . The fire brigade bust the door open twice to the empty flat where the problem lay . Land lord ( From London not able to speak fluent English ) tried to say my daughter was responsible for the damaged door as she lived in the adjacent flat , till I put him right & that's when he started the no fault eviction , I doubt his mother & father will ever get married !

These seem to be recommend by a few, managed to get it working on the phones which is a good start!

I bought the same after after a few on here recommended it, used up our Nectar points to get it half price
Got it connected to both of our phones, still trying to get the chime top work though.
Another forum recommended tool getting used to remove the old bell push

Don't be fooled too much by amazing amounts in reduced prices. The watch I ordered 9 weeks ago was £45 & paid for ,in fact I got two for £93 . They arrived 10 days ago .

I bought one of these for my son to use as a radio scanner. They get good reviews for the price. I've also bought one for myself, and as it is capable of transmitting I plan to take the foundation radio licence. With that in mind, I've bought a study guide and signed up to some online lessons starting next week.

Thanks, that might be useful. I realise joining a local club would be a good idea but I don't know how far I want to get into this as a hobby. For the moment, I'm just getting in deep enough so I can entertain my son.
