Last time I did any Pyro was at the foundry in the 70's, some with a dozen cores on the controls & instrumentation circuits.

It is dying art now.
Very few can do it, a sod of a job. But pleasing when done right.

Ours wasn't stored in the best of conditions so you had to meggar it, cut a foot off and meggar it again to make sure you'd removed all the damp powder

I still have the cable drum holder with built in "Kink Remover". Blow me down did that make it hard to pull a length off.

Did you ever meggar a length and find out it was shorted to the out case?
Great for those Norbert Moments.

No but I have Meggered a long run and forgot to short it down to earth after then got a belt off the ends

Bought this for the first time...it's called chip quik.....it's very useful for removing components from existing boards.

Really has been a game changer for me as the low melting temperature makes it a lot easier to remove existing components without heat damaging them.

Got my second hand Bosch 18v drill today.
Works ok but I can tell it's done some work but it was only £45 delivered.

My sister and I used to crank my dad's Megger to make the needle move. Nearly five decades later, I don't understand how neither of us got a belt.
