They're always a loose fit on something. So loose as to be no real use.
Actually, I think I recall one fitting a LR axle level plug, once.
And loads of other military stuff , certainly till I left HMF in 1980 , it stops the service men & women nicking the ring spanners for their personal tool boxes ,

There are traces of dull green paint on it, and just two sets of stamped markings on the tool....... ( Melco DPW/3 ) and ( REG"G.B. 914878 )
So was this used for certain Military vehicles ?
Tonight I have acquired a 230 volt track saw with 2.8 mtrs of track from AliExpress for £234 as a black Friday sale item . It should arrive here on 29 Nov .
Seeing someone 76 yrs old ( I'm almost 75 yrs old ) making short work of fitting six new to me doors in the bungalow . Four of them cut down doors and two doors made three inches wider with the off cuts off the reduced doors. I was truly impressed with his track saw.
There is still a door to go for the airing cupboard.
In my own time I will dismantle three of the original doors using the track saw in a carefully planned cutting session .( so pleased that there wasn't a nail or screw used in the original doors construction just joint , pegs and glue . Once dismantled I'll paint strip the wood remove any unwanted pegs then very carefully using the track saw again & my big router table start to prep the cleaned wood to make an identical pattern but much smaller door with six panels in it so it will be like the other new doors .
Also had Amazon deliver four very short special latch devices , 35 mm from face to the square bolt hole , as the reduced door siles would not take the original latches after the doors were cut down to the new width.
