There are traces of dull green paint on it, and just two sets of stamped markings on the tool....... ( Melco DPW/3 ) and ( REG"G.B. 914878 )
So was this used for certain Military vehicles ?

Waited all week to finally go pick it up, Raglan "5 inch". Just fit in the kia rio with the engine hoist I hired to save my back and it's staying there till tomorrow morning as cold and dark!

Tonight I have acquired a 230 volt track saw with 2.8 mtrs of track from AliExpress for £234 as a black Friday sale item . It should arrive here on 29 Nov .

Seeing someone 76 yrs old ( I'm almost 75 yrs old ) making short work of fitting six new to me doors in the bungalow . Four of them cut down doors and two doors made three inches wider with the off cuts off the reduced doors. I was truly impressed with his track saw.

There is still a door to go for the airing cupboard.

In my own time I will dismantle three of the original doors using the track saw in a carefully planned cutting session .( so pleased that there wasn't a nail or screw used in the original doors construction just joint , pegs and glue . Once dismantled I'll paint strip the wood remove any unwanted pegs then very carefully using the track saw again & my big router table start to prep the cleaned wood to make an identical pattern but much smaller door with six panels in it so it will be like the other new doors .
Also had Amazon deliver four very short special latch devices , 35 mm from face to the square bolt hole , as the reduced door siles would not take the original latches after the doors were cut down to the new width.

It even has a feed box .
I have a similar size lathe but it takes a 6 inches chuck, mine doesn't have a feed box, you have to change gears.
But it does have levers for high/low speed, forward and reverse feed, belt tensioner Wich might work as a clutch too.
Mine doesn't have cross slide feed while yours most likely have.
Mine runs on tapered bronze bushings and the carriage uses the lead screw for both power feed and thread cutting

Mildot reticle with illumination or not option .
I'll might get another rifle for this one...

And finally a Ridgid pipe wrench, aluminum handle, I already have another identical one but it has the cast iron handle

Nice vice. Rare to acquire a used one nowadays without drilling damage to its bed.
I also have a Ridgid aluminium pipe wrench. They are great.

They are sold under many daft brand names and likely from the same factory in China.
For the money they are not bad budget scope - and your price was really cheap.
Usually the decision is to buy a rifle and then the scope, not the other way round

I have airsoft guns only.
My collection consist in
2 HFC Beretta M9
2 14.5" barrel ICS M4A1
1 11" barrel ICS M4
1 under barrel M203 grenade launcher

Years wondering about getting an M40A3 or A5 that's why of the scope, I'm about to get a carbon fiber Harris style bipod too.
And it's more for having fun hunting mice than for airsoft really, because you can't really be effective in CQB with an M4A1 already cause it's too long...
And my local field is CQB only.
I'm currently building my other M4A1 trying to achieve this

I have to get an ACOG replica, building the leaf/ladder sight for the M203, replace the stock and rebuild the gearbox.
Ordered an AN-PEQ 15 working replica (IR illuminator, IR laser, visible laser), a 40mm shell, commissioned a 3D printed barrel to use TAGINN rounds, few rounds.

It looks like this right now

That's my first and fully build M4A1
EOTech 558 replica, AN-PEQ 15 replica (vis laser, White light, IR laser), angled grip, one point sling and a real FAB DEFENCE GLR-16 stock.
Internally it has full metal rack lightweight piston, aluminum high velocity piston head, dampened cylinder head, short stroke gears and an high torque brushed motor.
Everything shimmed within 0.03mm of tolerance.
Now the USMC M4A1+M203 will be just aesthetics at first, with little bit of maintenance on the gearbox.
I kinda enjoy building them

Yea it's got a decent screw cutting gearbox that does metric and imperial, cvt setup for speed control, power feed and crossfeed all in a reasonable compact setup. Definitely an upgrade from the clarke cl300m!

A few weeks ago I ordered some of the extra long Strauss Bergen brushed cotton workshirts and some plain white short and long sleeve t-shirts, I recall someone mentioned that they're very warm as they cover your lower torso.

It turns out that they cover way, way more than the lower torso... and I'm a bawhair shy of 6'2". I did think of selling one of the two I bought but I've come to appreciate the warmth they provide when tucked in! I'm 36" waist and 16st for reference and this is an XL.
