I went to the car boot, big box of spanners and stuff and I picked out a compression gauge and a socket, and asked how much. "You can have the whole lot for a tenner", was the reply. But I was strong, and just had the two bits I wanted. It was good value, but I have spanners and stuff, and loads of spares / sacrificial ones.

I know, I should have had the crate.

I borrowed a mates 190 back in the 90's. Stepping out of my Alfa 75 I was most disappointed - compared to the Alfa, it didn't go very well, didn't go round corners very well, and stopped even less well than the first two!

I knew 190s had asymmetric mirrors, but it was only when I went googling now that I found out the driver's door mirror is always the long one so UK cars are different to Europe ones - I've never seen a UK spec and Europe spec car side by side and most of them I've seen have been in the Netherlands.

I assumed we'd just get given whatever mainland Europe had, but it's no wonder they're more expensive than other saloons!

But the red sticker is in the wrong place

The inbossed star isn't sharp at the lower rays
Plus you can see the cells through the cooling ports
It's fake

The sticker beneath too it's not black, equals fake

Opened up unknown cells
No frame, no cell balancing cheap board
Equals fake

The plates look enough good honestly but there's no insulation so...

Asked refound got 1 euro
I've reported the seller to Vinted
And here we are my friends I'd have rather bought it from AliExpress for less 30 euro instead
I'm pretty sure other 2 are fake too
Maybe one is genuine cause it's actually used but who knows

The cells should be Samsung.
Genuine makita batteries have a white plastic plug covering one of the screws. To get it out you have to drill it so it's a way of makita knowing if you have opened the battery.
The fake batteries don't normally have that plug.

Test the cells and if they measure at 4 Ah or more per pair you have a decent enough battery.
If the cells are good I would suggest upgrading the bms pcb to one that monitors each pair of cells.
You can buy them from China for around £10.

Fakita 18v Die Grinder just arrived. Cost £20.86 inc vat and delivery from Ebay. Feels pretty solid, and the brushless motor seems to have a fair bit of torque. Only got 4 speed control, but should be sufficient for my needs.

Mate has the genuine one he uses for wood carving. I have used it and the only fault it has is the lack of speed control. With a coarse burr running flat out it is hard to control and requires full concentration not to screw up a job.

I'm trying to decide whether to buy a chuck version or collet version.

Both need tools to change the cutter.

The collet one will grip the cutters better and should have less runout and vibration.
But to use other sized cutters like 1/8" I will need to buy more collets.

The chuck version will take any size cutter.

The collet one is longer which might be an advantage in some situations.

It's around the price tag you quoted above 30 pounds is very close to 50 euro.
Collet chuck cause it's not as wide in diameter compared to a regular chuck, so it will take 6mm only but it can go inside a smaller bore.
That's the main reason of my choice .
It's not a tool I use every day so I don't think I'll need the other sizes collets
But if so I'm sure I can get them on AliExpress too .
That's my first real clone, cause it has Makita written on it.
And if it's as good as my cordless angle grinder clone I'm surely not going to regret it .
I have many grinders but having a cordless die grinder is something very convenient.

Since I'm here, I've bought those deans connectors for my other two airsoft ARs
So I can test them and eventually customize
