I used to have the programming kit for these, sadly gave it away years ago. Might have the actual profram on an old laptop, but you need some adaptors for connecting to the processor.

I have quite a few of those FX series PLC's as well as two different programming setups for them, pretty good stuff.
The FX-3U's that are the most modern and capable ones in the FX series (the new FX5's are based on the IQ-F platform, and have additional features previously reserved for the Q series) and with 48 I/O's will have been a pretty penny new.
You can get a relatively inexpensive knock off of the optoelectronically isolated programming cable online these days (and the official one has come down in price a lot too).
There's also some [unapproved] USB to RS232 programming cables so you don't need a proper serial port on your PC.
The older generations of the programming software are often for sale cheaply on eBay.
I think that there's also an early version of GXDeveloper which is available to download as "abandonware" (a legal grey area I won't get into), but I forget where I saw it.

I already gx software and the cables to go with my collection of other Mitsubishi gear
I’ve got a collection of various fx, A series and Q - just need to see if I have the hmi terminal software (gx designer I think) as I’ve never used one of those particular HMI before. But I had the suite of software from my last place so it may be bundled.Got them powered up this afternoon as I was fiddling with a 24v supply for another job (the plc are 240v supply but hmi is 24v).
Looks like it’s never even had a program loaded into it, it’s got an 8gb sd card fitted but it’s empty.
Plcs all power up fine, and on closer inspection today they have definitely never been used as all the terminal screws are still tight from the factory. Next step is to dig the cables out and the laptop with software on….

Cheers, I should be ok as I used to do a fair bit with Mitsubishi in my previous job - the software and cables kind of left with me

A couple of new purchases again in Milwaukee flavour.
From a couple of weeks ago the M12 Gen 2 1/2” Stubby torque gun. Bought as a kit with a pair of 5ah high output. I already had the original and they’re a great tool probably my most used power tool. This one boosts the torque from 339nm to 746nm so I’m hoping this will meet all my needs so I can move on the big M18 High Torque as it’s only used rarely for when the Stubby gets beat.
Not had chance to really test it yet as only changed some wheels, ball joints and brake mounts which it did with ease but so did the previous version. Mode settings is now done with double press of the trigger instead of the button on top. Felt odd to begin with as so used to the previous version but I suppose it makes sense to just use one hand to control everything. It supposed to be more compact but not really noticeable but the grip is at a slightly different angle so again feels different
Today M12 CLL4P cross centre laser level with both horizontal and vertical plumb lines. I’ve been after one for ages after using my and brothers and a mates Dewalt ones. The higher brightness is immediately apparent compared to the Dewalts with no drop off at 12m (the longest run I have indoors), much more than expected as is the speed in that it settles. The beam angle is good so produces a line even close up and the plumb lines are brighter dots on the lines.
I’m currently redoing the kitchen so will be a god send to use even though it technically it’s a Christmas present
I normally purchase from PowerToolMate as they’re generally best on price but with both of these they were bought elsewhere at lower price and in the case of the laser level it was the complete kit including battery and charger for less than it would have been for the bare tool.

50 L/min transfer pump, operated off Makita 18V batteries.
I'm surprised at the build quality for less than £50, all cast pump housing, metal impeller, canned motor assembly. I guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating mind.
I need to get some 3/4" hose, and some reducers for when I want to use it for filling diffs and gearboxes.

They don't usually go to waste , they normally get sold in IBC's full of beaten egg for the food processing industries either that or as separated eggs yolks for ice creams etc and egg white for meringues but at £ 3 a tray it's a lot more than they would get selling for the industry . Then there are pet food processors who use them as protein .A couple of trays of eggs from the local egg producers for £3, cant sell them to the public or the public dont want them as they are the wrong shape/wrong colour or dirty
The whole food thing in this country is just f**ked up with good food going to waste

I mean i'm not the sort... But it would make short work of even a pretty big tank now I think of it!
This may actually work against me for using it to pump gearbox and diff oil, as it will only take a few seconds between fully priming itself and filling the box...

The cheapest ATEX zone 1 battery pump I'm aware of comes from Piusi, and is "only" about £600...
Thing is, that Piusi looks suspiciously like it shares a motor body and pump casting with the Katsu one I have just bought, only with a long cord to attach to a 12V battery pack rather than a power tool battery adapter.
I guess you're paying the additional £560 for them going through the certification process to guarantee it won't engulf you in a fireball.
For an electric transfer pump for daily use the Flux range are much better, but their EX certified pumps are an eye watering £2,200 to £2,800!!!
By comparison a small air diaphragm pump rated for Zone 1 can be had for about £200, which is much more reasonable, but only 20L/min.

I currently use one of the 12 volt universal inline pumps but that only moves about 2 litres per minute.
