I am quite impressed! Cuts bigger sized bits much easier than I imagined, only tested with ivy so far.

Just measured the jaws, 34mm-35mm in the middle, going to 38mm at the end and 59mm tip to tip, so a bit of exaggeration in the listings. I suspect the 40mm advertised ones are equally as good.


One issue is the adjutable jaw size, still very big. Why do you need it? Advertised as a speed feature, but its really more about precisely getting a small branch in the right place without the wide jaws chopping the main stem. Other pruners were advertised with 4 size steps while this just has the two, and I didnt realise the reason at the time.

Are you using Parkside batteries in one of my lad's adapters?

Nope this time I might let it stay as a Fakita. I have used quite a few of the adaptors and they work well.

My previous purchase of the mini chainsaw came with two Fakita 4Ah batteries which seem quite decent, apart from a slow charging time. I was going to return the chainsaw but think I've decided to keep it just for the batteries. I think my future tool purchases will be Fakita's.

My transit failed on…….rust,after I tackled an inner sill and door post,my workman offered to do the rest,which included a rear cross member,so I bought some panels.and welding rods,only joking,I used the mig.

They are sharp I think they are manual taps but they are all three the same.
So I'm missing the starter taps for them

I managed to get only one busted Stihl ms192 .
They get expensive very fast and TBH I can't understand why there's is people willing to pay as much as a good used in working conditions for a missing parts damaged one

Yes people can get carried away and pay too much for broken equipment. I know what I might have to put into them in parts worst case so I set a target max price and don't go over it. The BR600 came in below £100 which was my cut off point including postage.

Seller says no spark but good compression. Will see what's up with it. Maybe crank key sheared or bad coil are my 2 main guesses but will diagnose it myself when it arrives and not assume anything seller said was actually correct.

Another red flag for me is outside EU.
Most of the bargains I can try to get are in UK but postage and custom duty will double the price.
I've learned the hard way buying broken small engine buying an Husqvarna K770 from France.
Paid too much in first place.
I was sure it had a blown top end, and it did so.
Top end was 50 euro
Maintenance kit was 50 euro inc shipping+taxes because from UK
While repairing it I've discovered that the carb would continuously spit fuel flooding the engine even if not running.
Replacing carb other 30 on Amazon
I've then discovered that the intake plate don't match the aftermarket cylinder
Ordered a new one from the us 40 euro.
Guess what after a month waiting for it, I figured out it's exactly the same intake plate, non sense to send it back as it would cost me a lot more than ordering another one.
Did so paid other 30 euro for an used one.
Didn't arrive yet and I'm afraid it could be another post 2013 plate .
If so I'll either have to buy an OEM cylinder kit or cut and weld the intake manifold from the original blown cylinder to make an adapter causing all sorts of headaches.
I didn't had a look at the Stihl and I'm scared to do TBH

They will cut the thread easily enough, you just have to be more careful with tap set-up to make sure it's straight in the hole.

How did you do that?

I made a bracket to take a switch to the motor and mount it to the ram lever...one hand to operate and the other to manipulate the log for splitting...works well when your making kindling and want to do rapid motions with the ram cutting small bits down the grain from old pallets.
