Today I acquired...........

Today I acquired an adapter for electrical motorcycle accessories, which has a cigarette lighter socket, two USB outlets, and a voltage gage which was the main reason for the purchase.
Its a nice tidy little waterproof rated unit, has handle bar and flat mounting plates, and an on/off switch. The voltage gage even has a clear display window in the rubber cover plate. The 140cm cable is fused and complete with terminal ends. Cost less than £10.oo delivered.

Take care that the voltage gauge doesn't run all the time as it will drain your battery!

,where do these unknown battery brands come from,it’s not as if you can suddenly start up mass production of such a product.

Presumably just down to changing import deals across a period of time, or maybe they've provided OEM batteries to other brands and have now decided to start importing under their own name. This page ( http://batterymaster.mu/helden/ ) suggests they've been around a while (or at least the parent company has) in Turkey.

Take care that the voltage gauge doesn't run all the time as it will drain your battery!

I tested it, and the on/off switch works to shut off the power to the display.

New toy today,after starting a thread asking for recommendations,I ended up ignoring @Brad93 ,thanks all the same but I couldn’t justify the £800 odd for the metabo so opted for this probable Chinese job,from a uk power tool supplier who also stocks Maffel,a product I’m well impressed with,so I thought they should give back up.
Apart from stalling the belt I thought too easily , it performed well and quickly dressed this weld,so perhaps pushing too hard?
These button head screws are replacing the rivetting of the staircase spindles.

That's where the metabo wins. You can not stall the thing.

But you gets what you pays for.

I’ve not bought any of their stuff, but they come across as a decent outfit - German and German designed, but make no secret that their stuff is made in China. Any firm who’s CEO is prepared to put his (and all the management team) phone number and email on the website can’t be all bad.

Does anyone do a cheap heavy duty bevel cutter like the metabo? For bevelling steel up to say 10mm?

Bought one of these for £45 from the welding suppliers. Very well made, probably weighs 8-10kg. Can take 110kg load apparently.

This sealey LED light at under £12 delivered is a proper bargain IMO. (Ebay) Solid metal with strong base magnet and powerful LED with focus adjustment. Best bit is how flexible it is. Only downside is it takes regular AAA batteries not rechargeable but for the £ very good I ordered another and this one will live on my bandsaw now as a sight gauge.

The step drills are worth there weight in gold on thin plate. Self centring holes.
