Oh, and watch out also for how you power it - they are all 12v but some have kettle lead type socket which would get interesting fast if you used the lead from your kettle or computer.

I've had my heater for about a year . installed it roughly 10 months ago .

Be careful that you don't slow the exhaust flow too much and produce a hot spot inside the heat exchanger . It's designed to burn effectively & push out the hot exhaust gases and heat the heat exchanger.... mess with this at your peril .
Don't get too clever and over egg the custard , there is a lot of water to condense in the exhaust gas .

Years ago , in 1981 I had a numpty neighbour who copied me by getting a balanced flue Baxi Bermuda wall mounted heater installed in all rooms as the blown air night storage electric heating was horrifical expensive & totally hopeless at heating the home .
One day I heard him and his missus having a hell of a ding dong screeching session , he'd discovered that the outlet flue was pushing out hot fumes so he turned off all the gas so no one could " Waste all that money , heating up outside ". Divorced a few months later after he decided to take voluntary redundancy from his job as a floor sweeper in a factory ( £900 payment .... which he spent on CB radio crap ).

Today I've received 5 packages of Esab E7018H4R vacpack in the mail.
Now I have 11 of them ,68pcs each package so I have 748 electrodes .
Put them all in a box which can old other 4 packages ,so other 272

I'm thinking about buying other 5
They are vacuum sealed so I believe I can keep them in storage and slowly use them .
I still have other 7018s in a sealed canister.
I'm getting them for roughly 7 euros package which is between a fifth and a tenth of the selling price of the single package in my area...
Would you buy them if in me? I already have a good amount of them

Re fitting my big Woden vice to my 10 mm M/S bench top are the securing bolts supposed to be almost precision through the vise base and the table top to stop things slopping about ? ( I have nothing close to the 14 mm ( 9/16 dia imperial hole ?).

It was bolted on to some 6x 3 inch pine planking with 12 mm coach bolts , heads in the vice base and massive penny washer on the underside of the plank where the nut was fairly tight before the bolt threads were hammered over to be running along the plank .. Yes it slid and slopped about like a drunk on the ice rink

An Italian seller on eBay he sells them in bulk of 5 .
He still have many of them but he sells them 5 at the time , all in once (he sells 5 then other 5, buying more or less than 5 is not an option since he doesn't sell more than one lot of 5 for time)

I've been given some effects from a deceased's persons estate , it seems it stood in a not too water tight shed for the last 20 years .

A lovely very heavy 5 inch Woden vice , the top leading edge of both the jaws have tiny chips out of them , other than that it looks as though it has rarely been used , the grease on the lead screw looks nearly new .

One thing though is that the jaws don't have much grip profile on them and they were not very tight in the seats , You can't invert the jaws as there's a few mm mismatch to fit ( I tried )

The securing screws for the jaws are well thread worn making me think someone has swapped the jaws and put in the worn ones in thei place many years ago
Questions :-
If any of you have a big 5 inch Woden , do any of you know what the thread of the countersunk jaw screws are . I'm guessing they 5/16 th's BSF x 1 inch long but would like confirmation if possible before I buy some high tensile ones .View attachment 420776

Today I acquired an adapter for electrical motorcycle accessories, which has a cigarette lighter socket, two USB outlets, and a voltage gage which was the main reason for the purchase.
Its a nice tidy little waterproof rated unit, has handle bar and flat mounting plates, and an on/off switch. The voltage gage even has a clear display window in the rubber cover plate. The 140cm cable is fused and complete with terminal ends. Cost less than £10.oo delivered.

Some paint for the two staircases I’ve made,filler for possible sanding marks showing through,and a replacement accessories battery for my transit,where do these unknown battery brands come from,it’s not as if you can suddenly start up mass production of such a product.
