Well, as luck would have it, some were introduced here just a day or two ago ...
... I had to do a lot of riveting some time ago on a trailer with a body made of thick galvanised steel.
The rivets were the well-known aluminium/steel models and I was surprised that after such a short time in the weather the rivets and their surroundings started to dissolve themselves and each other - since then I pay more attention to the electrochemical nature of metals to be joined ...
... and have not yet found the ideal composition.

War Department Mail weights.
The numbers indicate they were in the Middle east in about 1916. Or were meant to end up there.
The Post Office Museum were very helpfull in that information.

Ref post #37,208, it's amazing what you find when searching through old boxes. While looking for shillings I discovered a 1953 Queen Elizabeth Coronation commemorative Crown, in 'as new' condition. I'd have been 6[ish] at the time so doubt I'd have been thinking about collecting 
. Not worth very much but interesting nonetheless.

We acquired some clean looking block paving, the shop front had a jet wash a few days back so after adding silver sand we sealed the blocks.
You can get galvanised rivets - but I don't recommend using the die-cast monkey metal hand riveter you might have used with the aluminium pop rivetsWell, as luck would have it, some were introduced here just a day or two ago ...

yes, that's what I meant: galvanised steel pin is pulled into aluminium sleeve.
The result was a steel-zinc-aluminium-zinc-steel sandwich - well, if there is no exchange of electrons where then?
Of course, I also started with one of those, but was cured very quickly.
I now use a two-handed device, completely effortless and the wiggling around at awkward angles when effort is needed stopped immediately.
A bit like this without the collection container
it pulls these in as well
I only bought this one once, and it still works.

Not quite what I meant - you can get entirely steel rivets - no aluminium.

Cherry is a good site to look at. Spendy though.
Gives an idea of what’s about if you need something specific for an application.
Eg these are cadmium plated for corrosion….

Acquired this yesterday at a local boot sale for £30 incl delivery ( a full roll still vac packed), the guy also had a 1.0mm and 1.2mm roll, for sale as well.

It’s 36v, I’ve got a few of the 18/36multivolt batteries and plenty of the 18v batteries for all the other hitachi/hikoki stuff I’ve got. It’s all good gear, it puts up with the abuse I put it through
