I would have called it a surface planer. I'm pretty sure that "jointer" was just the american name for a surface planer (and "planer" is the american name for a thicknesser).

One of the saddest things about it is that people get rushed to hospital, get their stomach pumped etc and then feel fine, sitting up in bed and apologizing for causing all the fuss and being silly, and thinking they've learned their lesson. While everyone else knows that they won't be going home, and will very soon be dead. :-(

After FedEx misplacing the first set the second ones arrived at my Honda dealer today.
They come with kits so you can key to your ignition key.
Both done and loads left over, not much use though
Fitted on bike
2 seconds to fit or remove, just turn the key, lift the latch and lift off and it leaves the bike stock, no frame or anything else except small rubber end cap on the pillion footpeg carrier.
And full face helmet fits in with ease, even with the peak.
