Parking Ticket refund.

I got the ticket, when visiting a local hospital, in a company car. Due to a phone call from a engineer I missed the 15 minute time to get a ticket.
My fault.

Went to the hospital early doors this morning, got a ticket and was set to pay the £75.

Nice lady and her supervisor listened to my reasons, saw the phone log, so I paid for 4 hours, (but used less than two.) and that I was not going to fight this.

The supervisor went away, came back and told me the fine was revoked and I owed no money. Plus she looked up the amount I had been to that hospital in the last 9 months.

Happy me.

So I spent the money I did not spend on Burnt caramel shortbread treats and milk.

Been out today, had a few results.

But getting home, finding my house sitter sleeping, I woke her up with "Our Coffee" and it was when I was making the brews I saw a few packages.

First one address C/O me, from a friend. It was a heated front windscreen and a heated rear glass for his Ford Sierra estate, LH Drive.
They are not light items to move.

It was then I thought some of my friends are not "Right in the head". Oh don't get me wrong, they are good friends, as are some people On here I have met and messaged.
Some are mad, some are grumpy, some are a laugh, some are "normal" for a given value of normal.

In one small box was this nice Davey Lamp.

Acquired a Mikwaukee 10” mitre saw a few weeks ago but only received the spare parts to finish it today. It’s a 2016 model and has had a hard life. Everything was stiff to adjust and felt notchy. A good clean found it be packed with saw dust just about everywhere.
Once cleaned and lubricated with silicone oil, it moved around properly and smoothly. I thought the bed was warped but checking underneath it was all level but the top is badly machined so set about levelling it off with a sander and now level within 0.2mm, which is more than close enough. Blade to fence was out but easily adjusted. Table to blade was also out and not as easy to adjust.
Now working good as new.

Whats wrong with left hand on a Harrison? no screw on chuck. Easier to see the cut

Im thinking that to make a 250-100 holder would be silly, instead to bolt a block to the cross slide and bore it out, but that will loose any fine height adjustment, then need shims to adjust differing insert heights - quite a difference on the polished ones. Hmm...

Please excuse me if there is some terminological confusion here. Does it make sense if I ask what is the depth or width of field of the microscope?

I am wondering if the microscope needs to be attached to the cross slide so it moves with it and stays looking at the tip of the cutting tool. If you had a hosepipe delivering cutting oil, the stream always needs to go onto the tool and the photons from/to the scope might need to do the same.

My lathe is noisier in reverse and doesn't fling oil properly in the headstock in reverse
