I'm thinking of getting one. Do you have it on a 16a or 32a plugYeah 240v, and so far so good, there's nothing fancy on it just power and wire speed adjustment but it welds spot on.

Although its cute, the castings on the one I have do not appear to have been machined, so might or might not be a future rainy day project to refine.Im surprised no one has thought of making one from train track/rail whatever its called.
bid and won on a jaw for not much more than the start price - not realising that it was a long reachWon a lightly used long reach Carver with the wrong jaw (unless it was meant to be like that?) on ebay for the start price, allowing for the correct jaw cost it will still be a bargain.

Main (only?) use for mine is providing a red dot on the floor/wall/door/curtains/ceiling for the cats to go crazy chasing . . .I've got one of those thermometers (or something very similar anyway). The main thing I use it for to be honest is pointing at bits of metal I've recently welded to see whether they're safe to touch yet!
Mine's a Fluke because I'm a tool tart, but that's all I bought it for.I've got one of those thermometers (or something very similar anyway). The main thing I use it for to be honest is pointing at bits of metal I've recently welded to see whether they're safe to touch yet!
If any one wants another, I'll discount it to 70 uid, and chuck in a mini-clamp-on post vice thingie . . .Got one of those too, from a boot sale for a £ pound; cute little thing. Seen them advertised on the bay of evil for as much as £75.oo
