They are very hard on the gear.

The Maintenance manger gets annoyed at the abuse. Not the wear and tear in a tough work area.

Classic example, loader was seen pushing a dumper truck out of the way, by pushing on the tail gate.

The gear has a fixed down time for repairs, but that is accounted for. But it cost ££££ when it comes to abuse.

One I was involved in was when they wanted to move a cabin. So withy out thinking, the craned it out of the way.

Seen that a lot. Just savages. No excuse for it to be honest.

I did a great line in repairing abused buckets but enough was enough in the end.

Yes, I see it a lot.

I used to have to go with 50 to 100 extinguishers to the site, to replace the ones tat have:
Let off, no one knows by who.
Disappeared, by no cctv footage. Due to the camera being broken or looking at the wrong place.
Damaged.

Or on the fire systems, detectors removed so a night shift can have a smoke break in the warm.

I don’t have a camera, I used it to take a photo of an owl but it died of shock, fell out of the sky, hit the camera out of my hand and it smashed.
