Not if you cut deep and quickly from the front . Feel free to get some Norbert practise in, just remember that by your own admission they are sometimes useful......

And there's certainly no cure for that Seriously though, they make some lovely vehicles - just need to install a giant flashing arrow on the dash pointing to the indicator stalk!

An ejector on the drivers seat would be more useful.

I have been turning steel and swarf everywhere. I will make a swarf wand. Magnets ordered 8pm last night..

They are bloody strong. Just waiting for my 20mm acetal rods, but Im having doubts 2.5mm wall thickness will be strong enough.

they look good, I have the evolution one it works well enough but it is metal!

I made one of these sort of things out of some aluminium tube with a glued-on end cap. I made a little magnet focus-y thing (basically a bit of copper wrapped round the magnet to make a magnetic gap and then a steel slug with a blind hole bored in it to hold both). That should mean more of the magnetic field goes out the end that you want it to and also gives you something to fix the pull rod to.

The one I made is about 30 mm diameter or maybe a bit more (from memory) and I keep thinking of making another one that's smaller diameter to help getting into awkward spots.

Really useful tools though, so well worth making.
