A new to me alloy with a decent trye and 5mm tread.
Going to be swapped out for current alloys one by one to be able to take my time with refurbing the rims while keeping car on the road.
Funnily enough this alloy I bought more for a spare is the best nick out of all the ones on the car.

Didn't acquire it today, but I have in the past acquired 2 piece of grade 5 titanium round bar, about 100mm in dia and about 450mm long each. they have a 25mm hole in each end. I have been waiting for a propose for them to present itself. Its almost comical how large they are yet how light they are.

One of our customers supplies magnesium bars: a foot or more in diameter and two metres long and one bloke can pick it up

. First ensure that your boring bar is at the right height relative to centre, and also has an insert with some vestige of a cutting edge on it.....
The appropriate 'corrective adjustments' were made and... job jobbed.

Today I acquired an expected delivery from an online purchase, but it came with a surprise. 
I thought these clamps might be a handy accessory. The swivels looked like they could attach on the ball end of one of my surface gages or magnetic indicator bases. Someone had already put in a starter bid, so I threw in a small bid to up the anti, and won by a few pence.
Looking at the "online" photo, I was expecting something the size of my little green clamp in the second photo here, but the ones I received were unexpectedly much larger.
Having a common size item for reference posted by the seller could have generated more interest and a higher price gained. Just imagine the surprise if someone was expecting a small D-shackle and the one in the previous post (#22544) arrived.
I'm happy with what I received. The ball ends have 1/4" x 20 threads, so easy to adapt to a number of uses.

After a lot of inconvenience, unanswered phone calls and e mails the last order has arrived.
Shame the poor packaging left 1 item damaged.
Another hammer, this was ordered, specially requested for a friend who wants to work wire into art forms.
Shame it was not as listed. It was listed as "In GWO."
Yes, the head was so badly fitted, it fell off in transit!
The same person who wanted the hammer liked this vice. We new it was missing the pad to on the lower attachment screw.
We didn't expect it to be seized.
But a bit of oil and a few taps, with another hammer. It was soon free and moving.
Finally.
A Carpet beater, again listed as complete. The brass/copper feral on the handle is missing.
But due to the bad way the 3 items was thrown into a box. The Post Office had to had tape and it arrived in a plastic bag.
The handle was also broken. I think looking at the way it was broken the vice must of impacted it a few times.
Looks like I have a few jobs to do.
