if you can get it somewhat assembled (superglue + milliput) and take a mould from it, it would be an interesting ptoject to cast it in dyed resin.

A copy of the RN sailmakers handbook 1966, the year I joined up, issued to me in 72 at the Sail loft in then HMS Victory barracks Portsmouth , lent that copy to a family member and never recieved back and when asked for told they no longer had it ,grrrrr,after months of searching found out its BR no then another search found one for sale , happy days , still have my seaming palm , looking for a roping palm and needles now , I still have the canvas cover I made for the book ,

Acquired a carver clamp yesterday and opened it the parcel to find this.
Turned out to be one of the heavy duty versions. Slightly bigger than I was expecting, probably to big for what I need.
Pic is it next to a standard 6 inch.

Well, I acquired it a while back but finally managed to get it to my place and in it's new spot. Hoping to be able to utilise it as a small surface grander. Has all the attachments though. Need a small magnetic table next.

That's a good buy, I was just under £80 for 20 square meters from Costco.

I filled three Tesco trolleys, used one so far, not quite the same tiles as yours but very similar, they were slightly used, I was very happy, seen the same as mine
for £7.00 a tile!

For chisels and plane blades I use one of the guides with the little rollers. Designed to run on stones. Work great in a belt. Takes me minuites to sharpen a set

Do you still finish them with a stone?

Just run em down my trousers or a bit of wood to take the burrs off .
The extra stoning it will achieve will be lost as soon as it's used so what's the point

Keep a diamond block in the van for a quick tickle through the day.

Give it a test. Compare the two methods with one you already sharpened.

Is that a combined T&C/surface grinder? Looks like the wheel is directly on the motor shaft.

I found a skip today.
I asked and was told take it.

The item was only mine for a few hours.



The item is now in a care home for the staff to enjoy.
