Always stop there on the way back from Devon with the kidsOf all the services to have to stay a while, Gloucester (if it's the "farmy" one I'm thinking of?) isn't a bad choice!
I was quite surprised when I first went there, after some of the other "services" I've had the mis-fortune to visit.
You look well enough set-up, not to have to actually go inside there!
All the Best,
CJ
This lot was skip finds.

PS - Strangely I'm up in the "Badlands" of the same Big City, tomorrow!
Have you considered compiling a "Guide to Britain's Best Skips"?You could start small with 'county by county' and grow from there.....

I keep looking out for the Maintenance Supervisor at the hospital, just think of all the '3-castor' stainless trolleys etc they must bung out......![]()

It is indeed the "farmy" one, owned by the same folk who own Tebay services on the M6 up in the Lakes.
Even though they're definitely better than most other MSA's, I wouldn't normally stop here, but there's no way I can get into the site tonight. Tea is cooking and I've got 150 channels on telly, so this will do for the night.
Gloucester services tonight, enroute to the badlands of Bristol for tomorrow morning
If I new you were there, I would stopped by to say hello.
They do good food there and the whole site is clean as well.
I never knew they had another - thought that one was a one-off.
I thought you'd somehow spelt Torbay (some place in Devon) wrongly at first - had to look it up.
Might have to sample it on my next visit to the Freeman in Newcastle.
I'd assumed they were all "much of a much-ness", until I found myself in the Gloucester one.
I'm not too sure I'd even venture out of the cab - it sounds a better set-up than where I live!
All the Best,
CJ
I always had a samll model Milbro as a kid but made the mistake of putting my thumb where it;s supposed to go and every other shot hit the darned thing, I threw that thing away so mamny times!!Still have mine, its a longtime since its seen any action. I bought a Barnet slingshot when I was about 14, didnt touch the Milbro after that. And my thumb was very happy

M5, M42, M1, and A1M,
If I new you were there, I would stopped by to say hello.
Many moons ago, we installed a rolling mill in a lead works in Bristol that made lead shot.
The company was called "Sheldon Bush", and iirc, molten lead was poured through mesh screens in a tower which is apparently still there, and the height it was poured from dictated the diameter. Don't know if the company is still in existence, but it was an interesting job. And didn't Gamebore in Hull use the same process?
