When we had them, we soon learned not to use the thumb hole. Once was enough as I recall.

Old i5 Sony vaio that someone slapped a i7 chip in.

Was bought to pop in the van alo g with diagnostics software when I goes to my garage but will be put to good use too. It's no slouch

Right , as promised.... Yesterday I acquired the following.

2 x Draper #350 63mm clamps. Not the most robust and I'd not trust then with anything 'crucial', but perfectly OK for wood-bothering etc and as we all know, you can never have enough clamps. £1 each.





Then these off the 'Bay, thanks to a link here. Oddly enough, although I can either skip-dive or buy most of my steel, chequer plate etc locally[ish], ali for some reason is thin on the ground. So, 6 x billets 'just to have' for those small jobs which demand ali. £14.99 to the door.

Next up, although it hasn't arrived yet, one of these off eBay [no telling when Lidl will have them back in stock again] because I've been using a Draper equiv of this and it's been driving me mad for years. Because it's corded, it thinks it's the Boss and will fall over without provocation. It sounded its death knell when it started refusing to feed the stick unless I physically put pressure on the end of the glue stick, and that's without the spider's web of glue over everything. The bonus is no more being tethered at the end of a cord, without running extension leads etc. So...

And just ordered 2 sticks of 4gb ram (max supported) and a 400gb ssd and a new battery.

May also make the jump to windows ten on my other systems

Now, to give you all a good laugh , not so much 'acquired' as resurrected from the back of a cupboard.
I bought this originally to get the trimmer for just tidying up round the ears etc and never had the courage to use the 'full blown' cutter. Yes, yes, I know......

But, having been reduced to a complete skinhead by the high dose chemo, I actually quite liked the shorter look when my hair started to grow back [slowly], on the basis of a) ease of looking after and b) nobody's admiring me anyway so I can have it as I want.

I tried it the other day set to a #3 which I've been having at the barbers and was very surprised and pleased with the result, just as good as the hairdresser I use [40 miles away, and when I'm up at my clinics for convenience]. Although it'll save paying the £7 per time, that's not the real benefit as it saves the 'bu**eration factor. So, home haircut anyone?
