Does two 6ft LED replacement tubes count?
I'm still trying to figure out how to fit them in a 5ft fitting though
(note to self - measure, don't guess!)
Unless the old fittings grow and have the correct guts to run LEDS.
The acquirement means NO does not count.
Unless it counts as experience.

I am deeply offended, so like some easily offended members I will run and complain to the mods and sulk and stamp me feet. until I get my own way.
A classic case, it is my ball and I am going home.
They came with bypass starters, so work fine in older non-electronic fittings.
One has been used, but not where it'll solve my flickering light above the lathe problem

...it might not last that long. I'm the only slinger onsite but I'm not a climber, and all the riggers are climbers but not slingers, so we seem to be at an impasse... Yet another night parked on the moors surrounded by sheep seems likely

This weekend I replaced a faulty fluorescent tube with a led baton, I can now see the condition of the milling tool carbide tips whilst they are spinning which is good but not good.
I expect I will get used to it but ATM it is a bit off putting, perhaps a replacement flo would have been a better option.

My two 5ft LED battens cost £40 each, easy to connect [although those 'spring clamp' type aren't very good] and immediate improvement in performance. No flickering and you have light as soon as you turn on the power. I'm very impressed. 
I might fit the old 5ft fluorescent light above the bench on the separate switch which currently powers a couple of [useless] under-cupboard tube lights - for the occasions when the ambient light/daylight is altogether better and I only need light directly on the job with my shadow not in the way. Yet to be decided....

@Parm and @eLuSiVeMiTe the plan as soon as a i spotted the 3 meter lengths was to remove a few of the rollers in the middle and drop a chop saw in it and at the moment i only own a few of them but if the guy wants to leave them with me for an extended period they may come up for grabs.

I'd only want two lots of 4 rollers lopped off tbh.
Would mount them on top of these.
Then can use for chop saw table saw thicknesser etc as height adjustable.
I'm always on site so makes sense for me.

I will be going to collect other stuff on Monday and i am sure he had other sections which had been bent up so maybe i can cut the bottom section just to save the rollers.
