Today I acquired...........

Spotted some old LPs on FB marketplace for £1 each yesterday so went to have a look at them this morning.
Came back with 8 in various conditions.
Thought the ELO one felt a bit thick, even for a double album.... soon found out why.
It’s still got all the original bits and pieces including the poster and the cardboard spaceship model.
Not sure what it’s worth but way more than a quid!
Blue vinyl too.

I just bought my old man a modern copy of war of the worlds on vinyl and it was much more than a quid. Thats a good haul.

War of the Worlds has got be worth a few bob now. I picked a copy up a couple of years ago, I think it cost me at least 15 quid. Still good though.

I listened to all 4 sides of WOTW as soon as I got home, first time ever listening to it.
I also bought Rod Stewart’s Every picture tells a story but it’s in very poor condition, it’s been in the cardboard sleeve but not in a paper one, it was filthy too.
Don McLean’s American Pie is in a similar state, that outer sleeve has come apart so there’s stuff stuck to the edge of the LP.
Currently on side 3 of ELO.

Bring em down by all means.
I'll sharpen you can hone
Usually clean my big belt sander out and mount it upside down.
This was far easier and the bigger belt kept it cooler.

I got the album, on tape cassettes in '78 , I was 17. I remember it was a double cassette. . The 1970 isn't my birth date on username : )
