Sounds like the symptom I had with my Van many years ago...… Fuel filter ?

Will have to wait and see. Was booked in for a service before it started playing up yesterday. Did it once yesterday.
Did it 8 times today. 12m round trip both days,
Will update for the sake of continuity when I have a diag.

These are connectors for divy bars used to tie concrete shutters together for concrete pours. The divy bars are removed after leaving a small hole in the concrete to point up. A small tube is used around the bar to stop the concrete sticking.

Might be interested in a couple for anti spatter spray and the likes, not solvents as I've a special one for them with proper seals in.

Don't think so. Performance is fine right up until revs die completely. Then starts again and runs fine.

Time will tell. Empty the van tomorrow and prepare for a 3 day week in the car.

That's two votes. Now if I can work out which o the 3 filters for my model fits il grab one tomorrow and give it a test.

The third and hopefully final part of my bad luck.
1st dual mass flywheel on the car disintegrates with little warning. £1600 quid engine needs to be dropped to replace it and the clutch.
2nd Someone wipes out the front of my van because they dont know how to use a roundabout and flee's the scene.
3rd. van starts loosing power intermittently. Sometimes it starts but no throttle and stalls like its not being told to idle.
magic. Could it get any worse. bloomin hope not.

Fingers crossed its the map sensor and not the injectors.

Check the clutch switch on your van, had a problem with our Kia (diesel) where it would jump and buck changing gears (just like dumping the clutch too early) chased it for about 2 months had egr valve off, intake in bits, poked around turbo, even looked at throttle pedal sensor. Then one day saw an off hand comment on the Kia forum whilst trying to find a solution saying replace clutch switch. Sure enough the spring in it was broken and replacing fixed the issue. Apparently without it the car thinks it is still in "idle" mode not drive mode. Best of luck sorting it, they can be a right PITA!

While in town om Thursday, I popped into MacGregors Ind Supplies [ideally I should never be allowed in there unsupervised ] to get some more gloves and left with them, plus this, a 10" x 3" blank of spalted beech thinking I could use it, cut to make 2 off blanks 1.5" deep each instead of using the oak I mentioned in another post. I'd then have the oak + a spare beech blank for something else down the line. I bought it because I liked the pattern(s) in it - the outside of the block feels to be covered in wax, perhaps some of our woodbotherers [@The_Yellow_Ardvark?] can let us know why that is? It is obviously removed in cutting/turning.





However....I Googled 'spalted beech' and discovered that the patterns in the wood are caused by a fungus, harmless to most folk but potentially dangerous for folk like me with a compromised immune system from the myeloma.

So, unless the chap up the road can accommodate it in his band saw at 10", then turn it in his wood lathe to give the 'barrel edges' I'm after for the small project, it'll be going back to MacGregors for a refund, or at worst a credit note.

You learn something new every day.

The wax is applied to minimise cracking by slowing the drying rate , also the white bits can be very soft and crumbly when turning, cutting , problem with deep cutting a disc is stopping it trying to rotate when the blade makes contact, probably better off returning it and getting 2 1.5 inch thick bits, even 2 inches may be better to finish at 1.5 when true and faced,

Yes thanks, it does That was the only bit they had in stock at the diameter I need though. It's something I'm planning for someone as a 'Thank you' for supplying me with horseshoes.

Both these started me thinking.
When I first bought my convoy I serviced it myself. the Jersey equivalent of eurocarparts gave me the filter for a tdci rather than a tddi by mistake. Finer filter and had identical issues.

Swapped it out this morning and it's been good as gold. Pulling better too.
Good news. Saves me running the car full of tools for a few days. Mot and service Wednesday
