parm becareful with that it has no soft start as i have the same model

that model has pulled me into the ground when cutting a flag up before it blew the 13 amp fuse it had in

hold it tightly it has a kick on start up and only place it down when it stops spinning

that model really does the work hard

I was needing a decent boring head for the mill, i have a couple, both imports from asia and both crap. So i decided to get a good one. Seen an English made Gamet boring and facing head on ebay, missed it by a £. This was my second choice and got it, they are supposed to be good, get great reviews on the American engineering forums. Bought an R8 shank for it today.

I had a result, I ordered from a well known auction site an additional compressor tank from a company which deals with faulty returns and just punts them out some with valves and switches some without.
Well I got a complete compressor which had not even had the wheels or filter fitted, and not yet been filled with oil. Now I am assuming that it will be ok as it was, factory fresh. Oil arrives today so will fire it up and see what happens. Shame really as I don't need another compressor having just upgraded from a 25l to a 50l, the one delivered is another small direct drive 25l. Still for the few beer tokens it cost me I will pass onto someone if its ok. Result.

Yes it is the original paint.

If it is not then in the past some one has done a very nice paint job.

Over the weekend I got a card informing me I had a parcel to collect from Local post office sorting office.
This was odd as I had not ordered anything, brought anything or was expecting anything.

I have just opened it, it was from my friend in Israel. She had visitd a Flea Market and thought I would like them.

Meccano (Mamod) Steam engine.

It does steam up. But I need to replace the "O" rings.

The Steam engine has had a strip down.
New O rings, new fibre seals and the piston cleaned.

It is now a steam tight, with plenty of torque nice little steam engine.
A new Meths burner is needed, but that can wait a bit.

The camping stove.
There is a split where the Needle assembly screws into the base.
It fired up, but after a few minutes the fuel weeps from the screw thread.

I Have a whiteness mark, so I will clean it up and try to run some solder into the crack.

Certain carparts place put on a 50% off "all" oils offer, punched in the product code for thier 200ltr barrels of triple QX which are already at trade and bingo Guy was saying that I got them for £60 a barrel less than they pay for them and management have quickly altered the rules

New landlord of Village pub has been clearing out some old stuff. Previous incumbent was doing some dodgy stuff. A lot of barrels aren’t on the system, as they don’t have a paperwork trail they can’t go back. He was told to dispose of them. He gave me a couple of pints to take them away. I have 10 in total, all different sizes

Next up had a phone call from a mate who works for a big hire firm. They have first dibs on old hire kit when it’s taken off the fleet. It’s been fully serviced, cleaned and PAT tested, oh he gave it to me FOC

Don't think I've ever owned a grinder with soft start. Behaves the same as any other grinder. Nothing to be scared of.

Lol yup. Something else to go wrong. Always found holding a grinder loosely best. Let the grinder center itself and its weight cut. Fighting it seems to cause snatches.
First disk cutter I used would have been a 300mm stihl at about 12yo helping my old man. Top marks for his parenting.

yeah just know what ya mean most kids didnt get chance near many machenery at school or at other work places unlike me that told them ive done this that and the other with some machines that would even make them squirm i always did chuckle when i mentioned that gutbuster wolf drill

you could just see them shiver as they remember it being yanked from there hands

after that i got full use of many machines and didnt half get the daggers from the rest of the kids for it
