I know a man that builds model railway so it will go to him to be looked after. That little steam engine looks sad but I bet its going to be far happier now it's got a new home
Saved another Coventry Climax fire pump from the skip. any one want all the hoses for there fire engine.View attachment 153242
And my Coventry die head is on a one inch shank too. Result. Saves me another job.Nice snug fit. Just need a few more chucks on a 1" shank
I would, along with 1000s of pounds worth of stainless tube and fittings, just because some one wanted a tidy up!You wouldn't believe the FLP and Exd kit we've thrown into skips in work over the last few months. Lovely heavy stuff but couldn't bring the stuff home from work due to CAA flying requirements offshore. All skipped!
A new lathe!
Chance conversation and my tiny Sherline lathe has now been replaced.
I think its a 1908 Drummond.
The Sherline has been a fantastic machine but its just too small for the stuff I need to make, I can feel my back hurting at the thought of moving it!View attachment 153358
Yes still has the trade but belts removed and a motor fitted round the back.^^ Was that originally a treadle machine?
It does indeed look like a Pre-B, no doubt Matt will be along with all the details. That looks like a Pre-B, complete with treadle. @MattF will know for sure
Yep, the M's Grandad, I am not sure that it was more sturdy though.Certainly a lot of similarities to a Drummond M Type but looks much more beefy and sturdy![]()
