Bargain is not the word for it I could not believe the old guy sold it to my mate for so cheap a price! Couple on eBay at the moment at approx. £1100 so I think I've got a cracker of a deal. Just need to get an inverter for it and work out how to convert a non dual voltage 3 phase motor to work with an inverter.

not got it home yet, but as far as im aware its a 415v only motor thats fitted to the Vm30. I may be wrong and hopefully its a 220/440v on it which will make life soooo much easier.

Nah, wasn't a PD Drive. The discs were just the same physical size as a floppy I think but they had , I think, 120Meg capacity.

Just did a search and it was indeed an LS drive and also 120Meg, my memory must be better than I thought

Full set of cc 2804 collets plus half inch square and a hex.
Draw bar for the L

And test fit in the M.
Sorted.

Catchplate. (Bought some drive dogs last week.)

Beurnard 5" 3 and 6" 4 jaw.
Again test fitted on the M

Jacobs chuck on 2mt

Unknown no backplate 6" 3jaw (jaws may fit my 6" with backplate)

Tailstock.
Identical to the M but baseplate is half inch thicker. Very smooth.
And a old live center (need to open and replace bearings/tighten well made though.

Cross, compound, base and tool post.
No backlash whatsoever.

Looks identical excluding the apron.

Oh yeah. Also got a lathe thrown in for free too.
Il get the rest out tomorrow.

A set of chess pieces, my nan found them in the loft, she thinks they're worth a bit. I doubt it but now I've got some pieces for the board I made at school a few years ago.

Normally im not.

Felt guilty picking it up.
Over 60 people watching.
Only 3 bid.

Apparently had been offered double that winning bid but decided on ebay for more money.
Theres a few Model L up for silly money on the bay but they dont sell.
Guess he based his price expected on those.

Rocked up to find he had removed the bed for me and already on an engine crane.
Loaded in 15 mins.
Gave him 160 and told him to keep the change. :/

He means that for the price he paid for the lathe & the bits he wanted, the lathe cost him nothing and was technically a bonus, I believe.

Rather taken with it and be handy.
