Normally such ducting should all be metal based and earthed out . Should anything happen untoward and a claim is in the offing the insurers will go to town big time to prove it was your fault .

You might need to think of a hose with a fixed bare copper grounding wire running through itand the same within the pipe work ie all joints connected with a earthing strip so you don't get a near fatal static electricity build up and /or an explosive discharge / ignition in the pipes & outside when there is the right amount of dust to air ratio. It happened in the carpentry unit adjacent to our plant hire business ..the explosion & fire took out several other units in the same block as well .

Not only that. Those blower fans move an enormous amount of air but they have minimum ability to suck. Fan engineering and fluid dynamics are quite complicated. All extraction system fans need to generate a large amount of static pressure, ie thier ability to “suck”

They're not oil-free, but they do come with a pressure regulator/centrifugal separator. 5μm I believe.

Interesting it appears to have a drain valve on the top of the tank

It could mean there is a tube down to the bottom of the tank but more likely simply drain the air here .

First compressor I ever bought was an ancient 150l that I sold on immediately (and regretted ever since). It was nearly half full of water ...... Heavy!

Couple more grinders for the collection. The lower end of the Bosch Professional scale but very nicely made none the less. Nice slim design too which is good for my small hands.

Got this at the weekend, a Lowe HF-225 shortwave receiver (the top one). I wanted one of these when they came out in the early 1990's, but they were beyond my means back then. Its in my shed as thats where my longwire antenna terminates and i brought it out there for a while and messed around with it. Its much better than the cheaper Realistic it sits on, i was listening in to the 20 and 40 meter amateur bands and the performance is really good.

A Good deed is rewarded.

On the way home from work I popped into a Local Charity shop. I was dropping of items they can make use off and are surplus to my needs.

They handed me a small box, think the size of a High heel boot size. It rattled when I shock it.



To be honest, only the steel will be of any use to me. The rest will be given to MIS, Tool library and or a tool charity. Not sure yet. So it will be passed on.

Perk of my job is some of the sites I get to go to. The company rules are simple and strict.
You don't take anything.
But if you are given, get the paper work with it.

I am guessing it is for cutting threads onto pipes.



It has come a long way from home.

The site put a lot more aside. But I felt the hammer, Die wrench plus the odd bits was enough.
I left them a tea fund donation.
Means when I go back I should be able to acquire some more bits.

my Local shed is a Community Shed, we welcome everyone. But Most MIS are men only.

Shame in my opinion. It was one lady who got helps me at the Charity shop, where she works part time, to let me snoop at the stuff they are not allowed to sell.

It's open to all men .

It's just that the women seem to have more wo (e) according to some dinosaurs

The Men's shed I used to belong to has in the landlords terms that any group using any of their premises must have an all inclusive policy it's the same with Mens Sheds Whales but it's acknowledged that it might be mainly males only .
