After seeing TYA's paraffin lamp i had to get my own. Beautifully made and such a "classic" timeless design. As good as modern LED lights are, there's something very satisfying about using this.

No idea how to use them but the eldest lad has shown an interest in it, so seeing as they were on the lawn near a collection “FREE to good home” I obliged

And it works At least the display powers up, so pretty confident it'll be fine.

Thanks to @cheb for the VFD and @Hood for the panel. Now, if only I wasn't in the middle of ripping my living room floor up, I could have a play with the VFD and my recently acquired Ingersoll-Rand compressor It'll keep.

Today I acquired a confusion.
A big confusion.
A whole bundle big boxes.
Addressed to me.
From "John".
I only know 3 John's.
One has denied it.
One I am waiting on to reply.
The other could of carried them to me.

I am still confused.

But I have undone the 7 box's from "John".
I am still waiting on a reply from one "John" I know. The rest are in the clear.

This is what I got. It is rather uncanny, that some bits I do need. Or have expressed an interest in getting.
"I an interested in getting a metal working lathe" ( I wonder if that will yield results?)




Hex Bit extender. MOD stamped as well. I needed one of theses back in January.



A "Unique Electrical Slide Rule". Never heard of this before or mentioned it.




Another Cobblers hammer, yes I did mention that a suitable item was needed, back in Easter. But since then I got my self one




A Sandvick Style Axe head. I do not need any more axes, but a few years ago I got hold of a 1kg head and now I have its baby brother.






A Telecom Multi-meter, no test leads, not looked into it. But we will see.

I needed 8,9 and 10 BA for another set I have.



Forester Bit set, brand new, no makers name, but then again I have not looked.

Many thanks @HughF packaged superbly and no damaged didn't expect it to arrive so quickly. Got some new foam strips left over in the garage from my festool rail refirmb so il clean em up and be as good as new.

Fingers crossed the clamps fit my green rails too.

I'm glad it arrived safe and sound.... Hope it serves you well. I keep thinking about replacing it but every time I use my skill77 I'm reminded how every track saw has the blade on the wrong side

Have two cordless skillys. Ones lh ones Rh.
Covered for all occasions.
Tbh I prefer the blades rhs. Pita trimming a few mm off the end with the base on the wrong side. Feels cack handed to me the other way.

Spent too many years using them that way.

Only reason I reach for a skilly these days is to rip strips with the Fence.
Something a TS isn't much use for.

Whilst I was on eBay I thought for £17 I’d get these just for the dolly’s

They have to be the worst Iv seen and the idiot on eBay was so rude I will be saving his address for future reference

Most of the hammer faces are convex and concave on the same face!

They were advertised as wooden shafts too

Rescued this from it's doom. It was next to the skip on a school clearance site with the plug cut off.
It's made by Hegner, I don't know much about it. Any info?
