Or you could use it as a foundation for a skyscraper or maybe a support stand for oil rig maintenance, maybe an axle stand for a mining truck.

Any idea of its original purpose? That must be capable of holding a hundred tons. I have a set of (rather large) 8t each axle stands and they look tiny compared to that beast.

Funnily enough I said to my brother it would make a great Morrison shelter for the Empire state building!

Even with the forklift I am a tad worried. My other bench was 500kg and that was scary.

With some proper slings it shouldn't be too bad to do it in two stages. Lift onto its side, then onto its feet.

Be careful not to bump your forklift into it, you don't want to damage the forklift!

At a place i worked we had a Morrison Shelter as a workbench, was fantastic, until the idiot boss scrapped it.

Interesting. I wonder what was attached to the top with those bolt holes.

Apparently the top is flat within 0.05mm so must have been used to work on heavy bronze bells.

Keep your eyes open on Ebay - Buy it now better than auction. I had a lovely 240x120 table with a 20mm top for about £250. It weighs about 500kg.
Select buyer to collect - then ask them to palletise it. With big table ask them to flip it upside down. More stable for shipping.

I'd love to but i don't have the space or means to unload it. I do need a proper workbench but will have to build what i want. Garage here is very small and i'm not planning to stay past this year.

20mm top would be nice! 10mm is expensive enough though.

Have a similar Bosch to that. 2 speed driver Ten years with infrequent use and the batteries are still spot on. Great for kitchen fitting and tight gaps

Finally, the fixed steady for my Bantam. Thanks to @Seadog for acting as a freight forwarder (again). It has a broad arrow and some letters seemingly etched onto the top. Any military buffs have any ideas what this could mean?

Also I forgot about these two!

A box of cotter pins, and a Footprint fabricated pipe vice, started cleaning it and it’s looking good. Doesn’t need to shine, just need the rust and gunk off it for now.
