Oh dear... I've just made a Grade A plonker of myself on the forum... the clear plastic cover easily unscrews and the inside can be rotated... time to take the dogs for a walk and step away from the internet for a wee while.

Experience does not come cheap , guess who else has complained about such things

Almost did the same thing with our new £1220ish Truman caravan motor mover last night , By ***k I was going to bend someone's ears I can tell you . Then I RTFM three times , the last time I read it right to the very end of the information sheets and found by deduction after reading everything that third time :- I swear that some bugger slipped in the vital line " Turn forward two full turns " when I was not looking .
If you turn the mover isolating switch off before you have fully automatically retracted the auto engage /disengage set up , not only do you need to hand wind the motors back thirty full turns to fully to full disengage , you then have to advance them to the direction of engage two full turns by turning them by hand using the supplied tool on both motors .
Deducing that there must be a micro limit switch at the end of the fully disengaged travel , if you over ride it too much the unit will never operate .

A few minutes ago I acquired .....
A 1500watt plastic bodied Titan table saw for £99 ( Screwfix offer )
Reason for the acquisition :-
Three of the 24 fence panels I purchased & fitted have big knots in the top rail .
Now next door have chopped down all of their 18 mtrs of 6 mtr plus tall Leylandi hedge weeds on the other side of the panels the wood rails have finally dried out and the knots have cracked the rails wide open

Three new panels =£99 plus £15 worth of two coats of preservative treatments , delivery and my travel of around £18 ...… Hmmm decided it was more in my interest to buy a small saw and make three new rails myself from wood I already have. Then stain, preserve & fit them and have a new toy in my toy box that will get a lot of use .

My only problem is ..how do I tell my wife that if I throw the dryer out and she goes back to using the washing line I can get it in the garage ?

Weld up a framework for the dryer to bring its door up to her visual level, then store the table saw underneath.

I've already done that and put three 9x2 across the top ,well two inches higher than the washing machine which is on the other side of a dividing partition , the bottom shelf is almost 20 inches from the floor on breeze blocks mortared in & set on a DPC .

This morning as I was assembling the legs frame My lass came out with a cuppa , " Oh I see , you'll store the table saw on top of your welding bench with the leg set turned upside down & put on the table part of the saw ..that's a good idea , why not put some thin ply on the table to protect it from the legs ".

The enclosed veranda on the log cabin office is looking good for parking it in the longer term if I put the whole saw bench on lockable castors .
