A Delkovic exhaust system for a GS850
Or most of it...
Delko downpipes, £170

But, they wanted another £135 quid for a muffler, so I went the way I've gone previously and got this to go on it...

A Harley-used take-off from a Fat Bloke or something.
For a mere £25 and the trivial cost of making a short link pipe.
It will respond to my diy decibel killer if it has to.

Went and picked up a ton (estimated by the guy at the cooperage) of barrel staves today. Most of it is at my mates house, as we were splitting it, sold for firewood, and some of it will be but some may find it's way to being made into things no doubt.
This is what I took home to play with.

This was us loaded up, managed to just get it all in.

Amazing site, looking at yr location, is it for whisky barrels? Are they oak? Very nice I bet they smell good as well.
I have an idea whisky is aged in old Portugese sherry casks, may be wrong.

Finally arrived today very well packed and not light but plugged it in and it runs a lot quieter than I expected which I’m happy about . Now to figure out where all my airlines and air tools are

Delkevic have a couple of optional mufflers, from street classic quiet, to short and obnoxious, all with removable baffles to suit taste.
I have a pair of Harley Dyna silencers on the XJ9, and one of the first things I discovered was that H-D made them with different baffle spacings to suit the cylinder / pipe length they were on. The main body of the mufflers are straight-throughs lined with perforated steel and backed with fibre matt. All I've done with them is remove the original baffle plates and made my own with a thick washer down at the end of an insertable length of 6mm screwed rod, which is held in position by an angle bracket bolted to the end of the can, and adjusted the washer size and position until I got a fairly quiet and free-flowing system. It's surprising how well it works.
Now I've got them the way I want them, I can make a more permanent arrangement that looks a bit neater.

Yeah, got bored with it. I like a bit of noise, but not too much, as it just attracts the wrong kind of attention.
I recall fitting a set of cherry bombs to a boxer twin and then having to go to Manchester. I hated those pipes when I got back.

I used to love really loud stuff but recently it's started getting annoying so I guess I've passed that fase as well

Got this in a sorry state from a damp shed the owner said he got it in the USA in the 1980's as soon as i saw it i knew it was an Estwing so i was as i already have the same one, I gave it a clean up and will sharpen it use as a framing axe.

They do last quite a long time,
Never worn one out as can just turn it around and resharpen the tips on 80grit sand paper and go again. Had mine about 12-15 years now.

Today I acquired...........
