Brought home yesterday for the princely sum of:
Nought point noughtpence courtesy of the local Freecycle site.
Cleaned it, stripped, cleaned and lubricated the drive. All present and correct, just dried out oils and grease.
Removed the static blade to find that under the light film of rust, it is straight and unworn. A visual inspection of the cylinder shows no wear, nicks, chips or other horrors.
The next task is to lightly tickle the blade and backlap the cylinder.
The engine oil is clean, although the level was low. Air filter is clean and recently re-oiled. Plug is clean. Task 2 is to put the camera down the bore, check compression, clean out the carburettor bowl, then add fuel and TEST drive!

It was only a suggestion since they're much cheaper than the caterpillar style ones I will be selling and would save you on postage since the lot is like +30kg, you didn't have to be snarky about it.

Thanks for the offer @Dapph2 but ive got the filter covered , has that lump of cherry wood I sent you ready for use yetI have an electronic magnetic device that is supposed to prevent limescale on the incoming by aligning the molecules . You can have if FOC if you think the benefits are there ( PM me your details ).
It came out of our old house in East Anglia ,where the water was so hard it was like using stepping stones to wash your hands .
