A pair of big SLA batteries, from a dead pallet stacker at work.



Only a couple of years' light use, apparently something broke in the hydraulics and manglement decided it wasn't worth fixing.

Plan is to pair them with an inverter-charger for use during power cuts, we get a lot of them round here.

Another thing unlikely to happen.
I've cumulated a lot of side jobs and I can't rid off, I have to do tick treatment in my land, cut grass, and assembly a sheet metal shed and another wooden one .
Fix my car too
I'm kinda depressed honestly because between my daily job and my father's cancer plus all those stuff I feel almost like at the bottom of a really deep well without a ladder to get out of it.
Anyways I'm doing something, I'm slowly refurbishing my neighbors Panther Kallista Wich is indeed a pleasant way to spend my free time.

IKt was yesterday. I acquired, WORKSPACE!!! I was fed up of not having any worksurfaces, so set to and cleared/put away. Threw away wood off cuts, random bits of metalView attachment 505748 and other assorted crap that I had dumped on there. vacuumed the floor and I can walk around a bit now. It's a rare photo of the inside of the workshop. Good job I did it as I had a commission for a medieval box come in last night.

So RDG can't supply the correct spare blades to fit the holder they sell!
That's pretty poor service!

RDG sold me a dozen tapered parting blades 10 or so years ago and yes they have an apex top to fit the QCTP tool holder , when fitted in the QCTP holder the side adjacent to the holder is definitely vertical . I wonder if the QCTP is where the problem lies .. perhaps look at different QCTP's and see what blade fits .

If we ignore they are using the cheap variant with fewer letters, I wonder what "aircraft aluminium" is?

It means don’t use it to heat the enviroment, rather than the contents of your cooking pot

A new MK modern metal enclosure consumer unit for my house



I replaced old fuse board some 15 odd years ago and wired these Wylex ones in myself-



These are still working fine but they are plastic units and the right hand one will clash with a new planned car lift install in this garage.

So ill remove both of the old ones and wire in the MK item myself on Saturday again.

Plugged it in an there was a buzz but nothing else. Did a strip down and it seems like it had been drained of oil and then sat for an age....cleaned out the gum and it now runs!

I'll need to order correct oil etc but so far it's not a total disaster (like the last 2nd hand pump I bought).

I have to say this one is beautifully engineered....real work of precision.

I must have a couple of dozen assorted crimp tools but nothing to crimp uninsulated bullets so had to bite the bullet and buy one.

Didn't take any pics...I was too busy putting it back together before I forgot where things went .

I'll take pics of I end up needing to renew all the seals...I'm hoping I can just fill it with oil tmrw and it'll all just work...would be a superb result.

Got the toolbox delivered today

Opened up and got a pleasant surprise

Everything brand new but the little label catch my attention as it says
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
I really didn't understand what I was buying.

I've seen the grease gun but I thought it was smaller.
But here we have the bigger spanners 30-32 and 36-41.
Said so those are not standard car sizes
But more like for tractors or excavators hydraulics.
And the grease gun makes sense now

Almost useless on a car if not a 1990's Peugeot...
Anyways there are also sockets, a slide bar, an extension and an universal joint included

Again weird sizes 17-20-24-27-30-32-36mm
The last mentioned has a 3/4" square while everything else is 1/2"
There's a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter too.
All those sockets seem legit and you can feel that they are pretty well built.
All of them are 12 point sockets (everything I've had before is 6 points) and everything says FLAG JAPAN

There are other more common spanner sizes and two double bladed screwdrivers.
All those are branded Mito.
A pair of pliers too but those have no names on it.

I almost forgot about this feeler gauge .

Now I've theorically said that I was buying this set for my car, to have tools in the trunk without borrowing them from other toolboxes but I feel like I either need to get an excavator or a tractor now
